BROOKE SHIELDS INJURES KNEE

Tuesday, May 08, 2012 - Actress Brooke Shields was forced to use a cane at New York's Met Ball on

Monday (07May12) after injuring her knee.

The Blue Lagoon star hobbled around with a walking stick at the glitzy Met Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art after tearing her meniscus cartilage during a recent performance as Morticia Addams in Broadway's The Addams Family.

Shields admits she couldn't turn down her invitation to the star-studded Vogue event, telling E! News she'd do anything for fashion.

But the 46 year old ensured she was comfortable by ditching her high heels and wearing flip-flops under her gown.
