REBECCA HALL'S NIGHTS OUT FOR NEW FILM ROLE
Wednesday, June 20, 2012 - British actress Rebecca Hall enjoyed several raucous nights out with a stripper-turned-gambler to prepare for her role in new movie Lay The FavoriTe.
The Town star plays Beth Raymer, an exotic dancer who became a professional sports gambler, in the Stephen Frears film which is based on her memoir.
Hall spent three months with Raymer before filming began to get a glimpse into her lifestyle - and the actress admits they would frequently end up drinking with strangers or "dancing around a piano until five in the morning".
She tells Britain's Stylist magazine, "The real Beth is intoxicating and there's nothing fake about her. She has an enduring capacity to make something out of nothing. She'll turn any situation into a positive.
"She's realistic. She has a great sense of adventure. She is utterly courageous, reckless, and exuberant. Beth is by far the most energetic character I've ever played. It was exhausting. But I loved every second of it.."
