Thursday, October 04, 2012 - Filmmaker James Cameron helped honor his ex-wife Gale Anne Hurd in Los Angeles on Wednesday (03Oct12) as the producer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Hurd, who has produced several blockbuster movies throughout her career, including The Terminator, Aliens, and Armageddon, was celebrated with the 2,483rd star on the prestigious Hollywood Boulevard.

Cameron, who directed several of Hurd's films and was married to the star for four years in the 1980s, was on hand to lend his support, as was actor Andrew Lincoln and the rest of the cast from hit U.s. Tv series The Walking Dead, which the screenwriter produces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Cameron said, "She smashed down doors and blazed a trail for a generation of women in Hollywood to come through those doors after her... There was a light behind her eyes that I didn't see in

any of the other people around me.

"I saw her work and realised that she's somebody that makes things happen. There was no doubt that she was there to kick a** and take names... She's a machine. You can't stop her. She's The Terminator of producers."
