DREW BARRYMORE CAN'T WAIT TO SHOW DAUGHTER E.T.

Sunday, October 07, 2012 - Drew Barrymore can't wait to show her newborn E.t. The Extra Terrestrial because the Steven Spielberg film is still one of her favorite movie experiences.

The actress became a first-time mum last month (Sep12) and she's already making plans for a family movie night.

She says, "I cannot wait to show my child. There's nothing I could be more proud to be a part of. It's, like, this and Ever After. I can't imagine what it's like to show your kids."

She can take some hints from E.T.'s director, Spielberg - all his kids have seen the film and he screened it for his grandson Luke last year (11).

He tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "I talked him through the movie

because I wanted him to know that E.T.'s going to be OK and Elliott (Henry Thomas) was going to find what he needed and no one was going to get killed. He was only three years old, so I was really, really careful.

"My daughter, his mom, thought it would be OK if I told him what the scene was going to be. So I started talking right through the whole movie.... (and) he just threw his hand up in front of my face and said, 'Don't tell me!'"

And Barrymore's E.T. brother Thomas is preparing to screen the film for

his eight-year-old daughter Hazel: "I feel like she's ready to see it and enjoy it now."
