THOMAS GIBSON STRIKES PLEA DEAL IN DUI ARREST
Wednesday, January 30, 2013 - Actor Thomas Gibson has been ordered to complete one year of alcohol education classes after striking a plea deal following his recent arrest for driving under the influence (Dui).
The Criminal Minds star was busted in the early hours of 6 January after attempting to drive through an area of Los Angeles that had been sectioned off for a half marathon race.
He reportedly refused a breathalyser test at the scene and was subsequently taken into custody.
Gibson has since managed to work out a deal with prosecutors and appeared
in court on Tuesday (29Jan13) to plead no contest to one count of alcohol-related reckless driving in exchange for authorities dropping the DUI charge.
He was also sentenced to 36 months of probation and ordered to pay $300 (=C2£188) in court fees, reports TMZ.com.
