Wednesday, February 20, 2013 - British actress Lucy Davis feels more comfortable with herself since she faced up to her demons and went public with her bulimia confession.

Davis, who starred in the U.K. version of The Office, has long experienced issues with food, and she laid bare her battle with anorexia and bulimia last year .

She told British newspaper The Sun how she once burst blood vessels in her eyes as a result of throwing up her food, and added, "By the start of 2011, I started bingeing more and more. I couldn't get through a day - even half a day - without bingeing."

The actress joined an Overeaters Anonymous (OA) group to address her issues, and reveals she is now feeling more positive in life.

She tells Britain's Hello! magazine, "Now I'm okay knowing I will never look like Jennifer Aniston. The peace I am starting to feel gives me more relief than bingeing and purging ever did.

"I am so much better at dealing with negative comments on how I look. The

phrase 'eating disorder' has a stigma attached to it and often a great deal of shame. I hope others who suffer with this illness know there is a life

away from it and that they are not alone. It's a relief to not have to hide anymore."
