Friday, July 26, 2013 - Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh has put his retirement plans on ice to direct a
new original TV series for U.S. cable network Cinemax. Period medical drama The Knick will be set in New York's Knickerbocker Hospital 113 years ago and the 10-episode series will star Clive Owen. Soderbergh, who recently won acclaim for his work on Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra, announced he was planning to turn his back on Hollywood and become an artist last year . (Kl/tvg/cl)
