Friday, September 06, 2013 - Britain's Prince Harry had a close call when he was rushed to a "secure location" after a Taliban attack during one of his tours in Afghanistan last year .

The royal was immediately removed when 15 heavily armed soldiers, believed to be members of the Taliban, invaded Camp Bastion in September, 2012, according to a new article in GQ magazine.

The gunmen were disguised in U.s. Army uniforms and they caused an estimated $200 million (=C2£133 million) in damage after opening fire, but a U.S. military representative insists the 28 year old was safe from harm.

The spokesperson tells the Daily Mail, "Prince Harry was in no danger. He

wasn't close to the attack."

The fourth-in-line to the throne, known as Captain Wales, moved up in the

military ranks in July after qualifying as an Apache Aircraft Commander.
