MOVIETICKETS.COM'S ONLINE TICKETING SERVICES NOW AVAILABLE ON AMERICA ONLINE

Online Ticketing Sales Inventory Expanded to Approximately 80% of North America's Online Movie Screens

(Boca Raton, FL and Hollywood, CA - August 7, 2001) – MovieTickets.com announced today that its online ticketing services are now available on America Online. Consumers now have access to MovieTickets.com's online ticketing inventory via the entertainment channels of several America Online brands, including AOL and the millions of additional users of America Online's Web-based brands. MovieTickets.com's online ticketing inventory is now available to approximately 8,000 movie screens throughout North America, representing close to 80% of North America's movie screens that currently offer Internet ticketing.

"Since our launch last spring, MovieTickets.com's direct ticketing inventory has quickly become the largest online ticketing resource for theater-goers across North America," said Mitchell Rubenstein, Co-Chairman of MovieTickets.com. "In fact, the average number of weekly tickets sold so far this Summer at MovieTickets.com is up five fold, compared to online ticket sales sold during Summer 2000. Demand for advanced online ticketing is clearly on the rise, and MovieTickets.com's at home ticketing feature is making the movie going experience more convenient than ever."

Mr. Rubenstein continued, "With the launch of our relationship with AOL, MovieTickets.com's ticketing inventory is now available to the tens of millions of America Online members. This agreement significantly expands both our ticketing inventory and our online presence. For example, we now currently offer online ticketing to virtually all movie theaters in the New York Metropolitan area that currently offer Internet ticketing."

Purchasing tickets online is simple. Users click on www.MovieTickets.com, select a movie and showtime, and buy their tickets with a credit card. Then, they go to an automated ticketing machine or box office at the theater and pick up their tickets or, in some cases, simply print out the bar-encoded ticket and head straight to the ticket usher. MovieTickets.com currently offers print at home ticketing for more theaters than any other online ticketing service, with over 50 of MovieTickets.com's affiliated theaters currently offering print at home ticketing and new theaters being added all the time.
