More Than $5.3 Million in Tickets Sold
(Hollywood, CA – May 19, 2002) – MovieTickets.com today announced that it has sold a company record 758,000 tickets, representing over $5.3 million in sales, for the premiere weekend, of Lucasfilm, Ltd.'s Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. The blockbuster surpassed the previous record-holder prior to the conclusion of its first weekend of performances. MovieTickets.com has been selling advance tickets for Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones since May 3, 2002. In addition to selling advance tickets via MovieTickets.com, the company was selected by Lucasfilm to be the exclusive ticketing service for StarWars.com.
