U.S. Internet Movie Ticketing Service Launches European Service
(Hollywood, CA – September 9, 2003) – MovieTickets.com announced today that it has expanded its service to the United Kingdom through exclusive ticketing agreements with National Amusements/Showcase Cinemas and AMC Entertainment Inc. This marks the first overseas venture for MovieTickets.com and will cover more than 250 screens across a broad range of metropolitan areas in the U.K., including London.
MovieTickets.com is a valuable service to both cinema exhibitors and consumers. Exhibitors benefit from the additional distribution, reaching more consumers via the Internet. "In only a few short years, we have seen the online movie ticketing industry really take off and MovieTickets.com is proud to have led the charge. We expect this momentum to continue as we expand our footprint beyond the U.S. and Canada into the U.K."
