Carrie Fisher's Dog Lands Cameo in The Last Jedi
Dec 8, 2017 by: WENN
Carrie Fisher's beloved French bulldog Gary has a cameo in the new Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi.
Director Rian Johnson has confirmed the late star's pooch appears as a little alien in the upcoming blockbuster.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a glimpse of what looked like a little dog in promotional images for the movie, and quizzed Johnson on fan site Fantha Tracks.
''we @FanthaTracks want to know if you can confirm this cute little creature is #spacegary in #TheLastJedi (sic)," a post addressed to the filmmaker read. He replied: ''YES! Wow, good eyes."
The news comes months after a snap of Gary watching his late owner, who plays General Leia Organa in The Last Jedi, in a trailer was posted on the dog's Instagram account.
A caption accompanying the shot read: "Just watched the new trailer of The Last Jedi and my mom looks more beautiful than ever."
Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd also appears in the new Star Wars film, while British royals Prince Harry and Prince William, actor Tom Hardy, and singer Gary Barlow have cameos as stormtroopers.
