- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest inspiring "based on a true story" movie I ever saw. Game me chills❤️🩹❤️ Mighty Warrior
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4 stars; I know I've seen a number of movies just like this one. The plot is very boiler plate. Even the characters are pretty much the same. However, that doesn't make any difference. I am such a sucker for these movies. I believe sports teach so many valuable life lessons. Thus, movies about sports do the same. What made this movie so compelling was the Orphanage factor, and that it was based on a true story. In fact, I think they made a big mistake by leaving out the search and eventual finding of the Head Coach's mom. It added a big emotional impact at the end. The scenes were probably taken out to shorten the film. You can see those scenes, and a few other good scenes in the 'Deleted Scenes' feature on the movie's CD. This movie could have easily been greater than two hours, and still have been a good movie because of the characters.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsYeah, it's a story that's been done before, but it's a good effort. The script isn't brilliant, but Luke Wilson is surprisingly good. Great to see Martin Sheen still on screen. Might not be for people who are unfamiliar with football, but an enjoyable antidote to action movies with guns and car chases. Better than expected.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI've always enjoyed a good underdog story… especially an American Football-orientated one. And here we have another to add to the list. Well told, expertly narrated, and very well acted, it holds energy and emotion at its core, and keeps them from start to finish. It'll be one I watch repeatedly, for sure
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsOk movie, missing something though, tries hard to be sentimental but it doesn't work, acting is brutal, watched it because it was based on a true story ,could have been better in the hands of a different director
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe best movie you've never heard about! An inspiring story about triumph in hopefully circumstances and it's based on a true story. It's incredible what those boys went on to achieve!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLove this movie although I'd have to say the books better.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsForget what the "reviewers" thinks. This movie's message can and probably will move you to tears. Sure is the acting a little weaky at times or are the lines a little corner? Yeah. But this movie will make you appreciate everything you have and just want to hug your family. Watch this movie and enjoy.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsYou have seen it all before, but it won't stop you from standing up and cheering.
