Muito boa a biografia histórica, apesar da Liberdade ficcional, parece que alguns poucos fatos foram alterados, porém nada que isente a culpa dos espanhóis, anti flagelo infligidos aos soldados, descaso e abandonou dois líderes espanhóis… O cerco durou 337 dias, com 17 baixas espanholas e mais de 700 mortes filipinas… Muito bom...

Too long. Takes too many liberties from the historical truth.

Enjoyed this one. First off, I love watching movies in Spanish with good subtitles, as I can pretend I am learning Spanish. However with this one you actually learn some fascinating history as well- the final end of the Spanish Empire and the Spanish-American War. Based on a true story concerning a battalion of Spanish soldiers in a remote outpost in the Philippines. They keep fighting against the Filipino rebels, not knowing (or wanting to believe) that Spain sold the Philippines to the United States at the end of the brief Spanish-American War for $20 million.
