Great movie for anyone who's a fan of Star Wars, making movies or has a passion for anything nerdy. The characters are well done, and I loved the mother/son relationship along with the smattering of sibling interactions.

This semi-autobiographical film tells the true story of filmmaker Pat Johnson, who begins making films in his backyard after seeing “2001: a Space Odyssey.” His passion for filmmaking grows with his excitement for the release of “Star Wars” in 1977. This movie is a MUST-WATCH for all Star Wars fans, especially those who experienced the original release of Star Wars in 1977. It’s a great love letter to classic sci-fi films and original Star Wars fans. I really enjoyed this movie, it’s full of nostalgia and humor, it’s a great coming of age story about the joy of making movies and the impact films can have on people and their imagination. Definitely worth a watch!

Except for the movie director part I was this kid in 1977. I have never felt so at home watching a film in my life. This film has so much heart. I only wish I could see more from this director. He has guts and a raw honestly that is so lacking in film today. Thank you for a wild ride I will never forget.

It's a fun story with fun jokes and references to 2001: A Space Odyssey... but it could've been 15 minutes shorter.

I don't know why this was #1 on rotten tomatoes. It's not funny, it's not ironic, all the jokes are metaphorical, and there is no sense of humor at all. Perhaps as a younger person of 25 my sense of humor requires more formal delivery… but I see nothing wrong with it. Probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen

I love great little films that are sometimes passed by and make us feel better about ourselves after watching them. This is a great little film.AAA+++

What a labor of love! There's a ton of superlatives that could be laid on this wonderful film... but you're better off just watching it for yourself!

Absolutely one of the best, most heartfelt movies we have seen in a long time. So well done. Loved it.
