6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain
audience Reviews
, 52% Audience Score- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsCouldn't get past the opening; the stopwatch alarm counting: 1, 2, 3, 10. That immediately told me: they don't care about this, so why should I?
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI kind of feel bad for Hartnett here - he does try. But the whole thing is so ham handed. It is less a harrowing story of survival and more 'dumb guy survives despite himself'. I don't want to make light of the real life suffering here, but it isn't cinematic. Also, I like Hartnett, but geez the guy has one look on his face - like he is having a particularly tough time with #2. That all said, it wasn't the worst thing I have ever seen.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsCompletely implausible. Would have died within 2 days without adequate clothing or shelter to guard against the sub zero temperatures. Not to mention the lack of food or water. When a survival movie loses credibility, it becomes farce rather than inspirational
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsHe got cold then got rescued that's really about all this has to offer. It definitely doesn't make you feel bad for the cold dude because he seems like a prick and his friend is a dick his dad is a A'hole and his mum just sucks. Has him giving a strange motivational speach to little kids at the end who clearly have no idea what this man is rambling on about to them.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIt's a very gripping story. Eric gets lost in the snow, tramps around for several days and then gets found. Unfortunately that's it and they attempt to spin this simple tale into a movie and fail. It's tedious - I had to fast forward several times. Sorry!! The story is true and very moving but does not make a good film.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI dunno… it's just… boring. I know it's a true tale of survival but I never really felt in awe of Eric. I'm sure his actual story is much more impressive. Not edge of the seat material this one. Sorry.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLove this movie. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Completely recommend. A must see film.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsYou can't beat a battle for survival movie, especially in the ice and snow. The twist on this movie is that the protagonist isn't particularly likeable or worthwhile. A past his best Hartnett gurns for all its worth.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThe acting in this movie is awful. Hate it no heart at all.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI like movies by real events. Josh Hartnett has grown up and looks at him well. Snowboarder Josh Hartnett plays a man who exchanged the life of a hockey star for a log cabin in the mountains and a fet. In a massive snowstorm during snowboarding, it gets lost. Rough story, a beautiful winter landscape, little dialogue in the film. I definitely recommend watching this movie.
