A Dog's Purpose

Honestly this just felt like it was trying too hard to be a tear jerker like it's only attribute was "I might make you cry" the plot was ...fine. I honestly wouldn't recommend this. Also there's been several reports the German shepherd used for the police dog chase scene was mistreated so that's a big no from me.

I do not understand why this movie got 35 percent in tomatometer. It is more heart aching, saddest story as far I know since I saw Marley and Me.. I honestly start to loose my interest for rotten tomatoes critics and reviews in general. My advice will be, Please don't let anyone to decide for you from here until you watch and see the movie.

I never fail to cry when watching this movie—it's the key definition of an emotional rollercoaster. It definitely hits harder if you're a dog owner like myself. It really shows how much value an animal brings to our lives and how much we can bring to theirs.

Instead of going off of what happens in the film and raging that way, it’s more important to understand the true meaning, concept, and what’s the message being put out, yes a dog dies multiple times and comes back but it gives the viewer perception of something much deeper. A dog, that’s everything a dog is (loving, innocent, loyal etc), is watched as it so fearlessly tries to fulfill his purpose and always comes back ready to do it over again. It’s a beautiful way to think about reincarnation and that not only do dogs die but their purpose continues in other lives no matter its circumstance. Truly beautiful.
