I really enjoy European cinema...but this one...only a piece of pretentious pseudo art.

an excellent film! the dialogue given to Solal is amazing! his character presents all kinds of questions about the nature of attraction, that nature ends up being what destroys him and Ariane. Moreover, you never can tell weather he is ever fully sane or not. Ariane has issues of her own and her lies spark an ending that still has me scratching my head. Not in confusion of the plot, but of her actions. What she does at the end of the film makes you wonder, did she go to far to keep such a broken, soulless man? I waited two years for this preference and it was well worth the wait! X
