Act of Valor

The movie is awesome, critics who say this movie is bad don't understand this genre and is probably why bad movies win Oscars.

The movie was entertaining with terrific fights scenes. The acting in many parts was not credible. This had the making of a great movie.

I have to agree that the acting is not the best I've ever seen, but the action is second to none. I'm definitely with the 72% that really enjoyed it - don't listen to the 28% here because they've obviously got something wrong with them!!

Critics are the kind of people who sit on the sidelines and make snide comments about fellow citizens who are willing to go to horrible places and do terrible things to despicable villains to protect their effeminate scrawny butts. The times, they are a-changin’. Heroism is back.

If you ever wore the flag, this movie is as close to real Special Ops combat as you will see from Hollywood. The critics call the script "cliche" but cliche is as close to reality as you might ever see. I would argue; given the date of the movie, in 2024, you could say the movie was prescient. Give it another watch now in 2024 and 2025.

It was great to have real SEALs in a movie, but there is a reason directors use real actors. The movie is interesting because of the reenactments, but the narration is terrible. (Absolutely no inflection in the narrator's voice...I mean none.) If you can make it past the narration, it will pass the time.

The stupid reviewers who complained about the acting probably didn't know the cast were active duty Navy seals. Do your jobs properly you spoiled brats.

This was a movie that grabbed me from the beginning and I was so impressed that real tactics were used in the filming, as well as using real SEALs in the scenes. Yet another movie with a huge rating disparity between "critics" and regular viewers. Go figure.

As a military veteran I appreciate the authenticity of many things in this movie. Highly recommend this movie.

I am not one for war movies like this. However I really liked the first person camera shots. I thought the acting was okay but the cinematography was really well done.
