, 40% Audience Score- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsDespite the lovely camera work and Pitt in top form, this one just fails to lift off
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNot a bad movie but the main theme of the story could have been told in a completely different setting than a space movie. So even though the great visuals, haunting space music and great acting make the movie worth watching it's ultimately a big disappointment for anyone like me expecting a space adventure of some kind. Actually the premise that people expected to find other life forms in our own solar system is stupid since we already know that's not the case and the story is supposed to happen in the future. The movie is actually trying to tell us we're alone in the universe and that space exploration to find other species is a waste of time. Maybe that's true even though I don't believe so but it's also a waste of time making a space movie about it luring the wrong audience to watch it and I totally understand most viewers watching it were disappointed like me.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThe only positive thing I can say about this film is that the visuals were well executed. The plot was incredibly dull and the writing was actually more dull than the plot. The droning, monotonous inner monologue was incredibly grating well before the half way point of the film.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA sci-fi film that is more about memory and connection, than your usual efforts in this genre. Visually it's spectacular, and Brad Pitt's performance is understated but highly effective. While it's not a high octane space ride, it's worth seeing if your after something that is quietly powerful.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsСамый недооценённый фильм
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI loved it. The stillness and sheer beauty of it. The score is just beautiful. Brad Pitt, so calm, composed , focused. One of his best performances. To my internal shame I did not, but should have known it is based on Hearts of Darkness.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis is now the worst movie I have ever sat through! It went on a big irrelevant tangent in the middle of the movie. And then it kinda got back on track. And then it ended.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsExtremely boring, couldn't care less about the fate of any of the characters. Completely made aess of the physics of free fall and space.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is an EXCELLENT film! It is one to watch multiple times to keep picking up little details. It may not appeal to folks with low attention spans who are afraid to think or commit to a film. For those who want to take a journey for a night, it's a 5/5!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIt was uneventful and kind of boring
