Nostalgic, yet fresh. Beautifully filmed and the kid actors are great!

As random and inconsequential as real life sometimes seems, Age of Summer really nails that hazy, confusing feeling that being a teen in summertime can have. It's charming and awkward, bland and memorable, somehow all at the same time. The uneven acting and the seemingly aimless plot play right along into this theme.

The very usual Coming of Age movie, with a bunch of mostly unattractive actors and actress of disparate age. Sloppily edited and it lost most of any charm it could have had

The film has a great combination of both the coming of age and comedy genre.

It was a great movie, and not for the reason you think. I live in the place they filmed this and actually saw one of the scenes in person. I am also a junior lifeguard, making this movie hit just that closer to home. Now if the movie wasn't filmed in the place I know and love, I probably wouldn't have even heard of this. Just the complete relevance and relatibility this movie has on me is just profoundly wholesome.
