Maybe after realizing that the time travelling is what is causing the bad things, you should STOP instead of making everything worse?

A haphazardly slapped together hodgepodge of unimpressive ideas that feel so absolutely terribly together.

I feel critics forget movies are supposed to be fun and entertaining, something this movie absoloutely was. The first movie shows the red queen as a one dimentional character who is only evil for the sake of being evil, the sequel shows she is more than that, which is why I am strangely fond of her. Also very happy to see Sacha Baron Cohen, I could feel Borat slipping out at times lol.

Pretty much the same problems the 2010 predecessor had only their isn't a classic animated version to measure it against so it's slightly better in that regard. The acting is a bit worse here and isn't that good. Alice as a sea captain looks ridiculous and she seems almost disinterested in most of the performance. The voice acting still isn't that good, the Red Queen isn't good, and Deep is just ok. Time also isn't that good and feels borderline miscast. None of the performances have any charm. The cinematography has the same problem of way too much oversaturation of CGI and basic camerawork. The music has the same issues as the 2010 one also. The editing and pacing are subpar also. This completely gets bogged down in the middle with multiple subplots once Alice gets the time machine. It feels like stuff just happens and we lose focus on Alice as well as the Hatter and his family get most of the focus in the middle. Alice really isn't that interesting in this as a character and the lesson of time is a gift feels lost in all the poor execution and muddled subplots in the middle. I can't really recommend this to anyone unless you really loved the first one I guess you'd like this because asetically speaking it's pound for pound almost exactly the same.

I enjoyed watching this but found it to be so sad. The Hatter is played beautifully but the story line brought me to tears.

Does not have the charm of the first movie and feels like an unnecessary sequel but its a good time.
