Nothing special, I didn’t see anything particularly intriguing. The plot remains quite predictable.

Definitely a movie for the young, easily entertained with low expectations. When I saw windshield wipers being used on a vehicle traveling at escape velocity I knew this movie was made by and for the not so bright.

This is a fantastic film. It's more of a standalone entry, but it works as basically a soft reboot of the series, as we have new characters dealing with the Xenomorphs, as well as an introduction to a colony owned by Weyland-Yutani, seemingly, where we briefly see more of their corruption with them extending Rain's quota to 24,000 hours. It's a great film overall, and there's a lot to say about it. I've said a bit of the story already, but the main plot is that the alien from the first film was recovered and researched, leading to a bunch of aliens being born and one of them attaching to one of the main characters, causing another Alien problem. It's a simple plot that works well, and it never gets old seeing a new group having to deal with the Xenomorphs. It's just a very fun film that ties most of the franchise together, as it has references to Prometheus via the black goo and Alien via the actual alien, as well as minor references to the other films, and it tells its own story. The main characters also go into cryosleep at the end, giving us a chance to have a sequel that shows where they wake up. The Xenomorphs were great in this, too. They're as they are usually, with it following the Aliens approach of having a reveal where there's multiple Xenomorphs. But the best part, when it comes to the Aliens, is the Xenomorph and Human hybrid at the end which is basically pure nightmare fuel. It's very well done and feels like something from a Cloverfield movie. It's at the very least better than the Newborn from Resurrection. But it's amazing. Overall, a great Alien movie. It's less connected to the others, but it works as a nice standalone entry in the series.
