American Carnage

I'm seeing a lot of reviews complaining about this film being unrealistic, stupid, cheesy, etc. Well....duh! The plot basically tells you up front that this is an unrealistic, completely fantastical, outrageous story without any promises of intellectual social commentary or political agenda. So if you're watching this expecting ultra realism, and deep character driven exposition you've set yourself up for disappointment. There is some genuine comic relief with a couple of the characters and Jenna Ortega, as always, is a bright spot of the film with her typical snotty and rebellious attitude If you actually take the time to WATCH the film and understand everything it turns out there is actually some relevant social commentary regarding the treatment of the elderly, "weak", or undesirables of society and how large corporations and the government see the general public as simply a means to an end. That end being financial gain. The fact is, this film delivers what is promised and nothing more. It is a comical and unrealistic fantasy made simply to entertain. There MAY be a message buried in the mix but that can be avoided and ignored easily and you can enjoy the film for the stupid and humorous ride it is meant to be.

It is a jaw dropping film that went 0-100 fast,I would most definitely recommend it.you would ether love it or hate it.

The idea of the film is insane and does not live up to expectations.The actors didn't impress me, and I couldn't figure out what the point of watching the movie was. Because of this monotony, the film looks like a parody.

Train wreck of forced acting, poor story telling, and cringy scenes. The only thing saving it from a 0 star review is the moral values behind it which have mud shovelled on them due to the poor standard of the movie.

The worst movie I've seen in a while. It started off well but quickly became ridiculous and overly exaggerated, straying far from reality. Overall, it's a bad film with forced acting.

What a weird way to deal with illegal immigration. Partly poking fun at far right and partly a gore fest, Carnage doesn't really ever land anywhere.

Totally biased movie, plus they represent Argentina with a Chilenian actress and it is totally offensive.
