Apollo 13
audience Reviews
, 87% Audience Score- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsA great space film. Ron Howard is a great director. Tom Hanks is an awesome actor. The movie was about one of the NASA missions after the first moon landing. The zero gravity scene was cool.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsHas to be one of the most boring movies ever. It felt like an eternity to watch. Sorry, just not recommendable. 1.5/5 Starts
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsEven though you know the ending because it's based on a true story, it's so well crafted and it has so many great roles and great actors it's still such a pleasure to watch. This is really a Dream Team cast and extremely well directed. A must see for space adventure fans and everybody else.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsI've seen this movie a couple of times and each time I thoroughly enjoy it. It is so captivating and well done. Every time I watch it I am on the edge of my seat. The cast and director do such a great job in making this moment in history really accessible to the viewer. You never really feel like you lack the knowledge to know what's happening even though the subject matter is quite complex. This is the gold standard for how a history related movie should be made. So, so good.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThese are the types of films that will put you on the edge of your seat. They offer a compelling script, stellar acting, and excellent casting. Anything Tom Hanks does is fantastic, even if the movie is bad, as his performances always bring a certain depth and authenticity to the character. Alongside him, a talented supporting cast often elevates the overall experience, making these films not just entertainment, but a journey that keeps you engaged from start to finish. Whether it's a tense thriller or an emotional drama, these films are sure to leave a lasting impression.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsStill a great movie. Great acting and script.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAn iconic film celebrating the brave people, both in the shuttle and Mission Control, who combatted an astronautical and mathematical nightmare. A 90’s classic!
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsRon Howard is not a director I would go to expecting flair or challenging ways of telling a story, but here he's the ideal man to tell this story, of which we all know the ending. That he does so with clarity and efficiency, making it accessible enough for all of us who don't understand much science and injecting genuine tension, awe, and joy is one of his great achievements as a director. Tom Hanks, and the rest of the cast, are excellent; but what was especially refreshing on this revisit is that it almost entirely eschews a flag-waving American pride with which I associated this film in my false memories. This is a story about people being part of something extraordinary, not an exercise in national myth-making. It's a moving, exciting, well-told story that's as accessible as it is enjoyable.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsForest Gump goes into outer space 🚀 and becomes a space hero and poor Leutinet Dan Taylor gets the measles and is denied glory once again.
