The core threesome have a pleasant chemistry and are pros enough to make it work for an audience unlikely to be especially critical.

Watching Arthur's Whisky, there's a sense of warmth, friendship, and fun that feels authentic and makes you wonder whether these actors bonded in the same way on set.

The script hurries along at such a frantic pace that it fails to land important emotional moments, only managing to nail a few laughs along the way.

Keaton is game as ever, while Hodge provides some sentimental backbone between the whoops. Credit to writer Alexis Zegerman for a commendably daft premise.

Arthur's Whisky is not an especially fine addition to the species, but it bowls along with appealing energy and just enough wit to keep the audience smiling, albeit a little indulgently at times.
