Bala
audience Reviews
, 87% Audience Score- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsA little subtlety could've gone a long way. Don't get me wrong - Bala is a lot of fun to watch - the performances are spot-on and the comedy hits the nail on the head every time. However, it deals with its subject matter in an extremely obvious, straightforward manner by having its characters being more like exaggerated cartoon characters than actual three-dimensional human beings, which makes the film slightly melodramatic and unfortunately quite predictable... until the end, where the film throws a couple of curveballs, which were a pleasant surprise. Overall, Bala is a flawed film, but a good watch nevertheless. Final Score: 71/100
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAnother classic with Ayushmann, the true leading man of new age, alt Indian movies. Thoughtful, poignant but also entertaining and hilarious, with great social commentary to boot.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGood comedy and story but some overacting

- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis was a superb movie headlined by a wonderful performance by the ever improving Ayushmann Khurana. Everyone should watch this film on the pains of hair loss.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsAyushmann Khurrana's streak continues with 'Bala', a funny, winning examination of how deeply superficial things can affect people.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat social content film.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsWhether or not you're going bald, this movie is good enough to indulge you. Superficial (instead of taking a dark actress, they go for a fair one and give her a make-up), but good as a movie.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFairly funny, great acting, and an interesting story. Very similar story to Ujda Chaman which came out at around the same time, but I think this one plays it better with more twists and turns and a shocking ending!
