Actually a "meh" movie. The history is not bad, but definitely not perfect. It is kind of confusing, although "the Rock" Dwayne Johnson (as always) knows how to act well, the cast wasn't like so. The CGI constantly change to perfect work of art to some bad-rendered crappy fogs.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson certainly tries his best to make Black Adam work, some might even say too hard. It's a decent enough superhero movie, delivering on spectacle and some entertaining action sequences. However, the film's relentless attempts to launch a sprawling new franchise are painfully evident, feeling less like organic world-building and more like grasping at straws to justify future installments.

Lots of very long fighting scenes and some other stuff which was meant to be funny but wasn't that funny. Flying people and people with super powers and normal people who get killed.

    Waste of shazam and superman

The storytelling aspect of this film, whilst well thought out and cohesive, I felt was far too complex for a two hour standalone DC feature. Despite a rather impressive cast, the fight scenes and action was lacklustre and unfortunately underwhelming. I also found this film to be rather predictable, myself and the other people watching with me easily predicting the next punchline or trope, clichés being thrown around left, right and centre.

The writing in this movie was so poor that 90% of the time I was just sat with a frown on my face. I've seen my fare share of movies but this was truly awful. The characters would have been good but we got basically sped run into backstories. It felt like they were attempting to make a grittier version of Shazam but didn't follow through with any of the jokes and had half-assed CG violence gore. It relied solely on cameos from other DC actors. And pretty sure The Rock carried the entire movie on his back.

This is such an odd one - the first time I watched it I hated it and wondered why it had even been made. We decided to give it another go and I absolutely loved it!! I don't know what changed or why - but it may explain why at the box office it flopped and now people are loving it on streaming - my advice is give it another go - it's actually an awesome film.

It's not terrible, but the story was uninteresting. I had fun watching it, but it definitely could've been better.
