Black Water

Criminal negligence of Dolph is far from Black Water's only sin, but it might be its most egregious.

A mediocre submarine thriller that only really comes to life when co-star Dolph Lundgren gets to one-up the Muscles from Brussels.

The billing is more than a little misleading.

This derivative B movie is sure to disappoint fans of prior JCVD/Lundgren outings - which are an awfully low bar to hurdle.

Overall, it's cheap but far from cheerful, with a minimum of contrived plot giving way to dull, repetitive action scenes staged in unconvincing sets.

There's probably just enough here to please fans of Van Damme and Lundgren, but it's not a big stand out entry in either of their later careers.

A thoroughly forgettable formulaic action movie.

Patriki doesn't call down the thunder with his screen mayhem, keeping the effort lively with gunplay but finding little else to separate it from the competition.
