Director Jeff Celentano doles out jump-scares and spooky vibes with all the flair of an AI-assisted software package. At least there’s that moat to look at.

Minka Kelly is just trapped in this thing, asked to play a character who’s more of a thing to be manipulated than an actual protagonist; to be fair, we can’t help but empathize with her, and hope that she’ll fall asleep and wake up in another movie.
