Blink is wonderfully told with breathtaking scenery and heartfelt moments (like the dog). But somehow it lacks some depth. I do not know what it is, but maybe the focus of storytelling went too quick, or the children should have been more telling themselves. I can’t figure it out exactly. One of the deepest moments was the cable car, just to imagine being there for 17+ hours in the dark. It was a moment the family really was a family.

I think if they had just advertised this as a fun family adventure it might have been great. They wont go blind till after they are in their 40s and 50s and sometimes not till their 80s. and so wouldnt it have been prudent to wait till they were old enough to be able to remember it. Maybe the 12 year okd will have great memories of the trip but the five year old and those in between most likely will not only noy remember it but are too young to fully appreciate they are experiencing what most people never will in their lifetime. Its sad they will eventually lose their vision later in life but this seems like mom and dad used their kids to get other people like national geographic to finance a family trip for them.
