every single frame is a piece of art in this movie, one of the most beautiful movies I have seen in some time!

I don't think I've ever watched half a movie and just stopped. Literally, I've continued watching some pretty bad movies, but I could not continue watching after 1/3 of it. This is the worst film I've ever seen. Completely absurd conceptually, unrealistic, slow, and storyline is bouncing all over. Horrible casting and acting.

Really transports you to the time but the story felt fragmented. With a better script and less heavy handed direction this would have been a much more compelling story.

A wonderful movie about a critical time in world history.

A real mess I have to say. So cliched and sterotyped with a really poor script. I never felt any real authenticity in the emotions and connections between anybody in this film. None of the sentiment seemed earned in any way. I've only given it two stars because my 15 year old boy enjoyed it

Good production values, nothing spectacular though, but a little boring

Blitz is a middling film that tries to tell a subject I find fascinating in the least engaging way possible. The Oliver Twist-style journey home narrative detracts from the depth of the main theme. The best aspect of the film, of course, is Saoirse Ronan.
