I watched this on DVD recently. It was very derivative and didn't offer much excitement or screen appeal as far as I could tell. The film tint is almost B&W at times, and there are lots of dark scenes which I thought were far too dimly lit and made it difficult to see what was going on. The acting was so-so, and the characters were bland and easily forgettable. The dialog was mostly sparse, and uninspiring like the soundtrack. I found it hard to follow the story and to remember who was who. It was just about watchable, but I can't recommend it. I found the DVD in with another movie, so all it cost to watch was the electricity to run the equipment, which was about what it was worth.

Saw this because I saw the cast and expected something good. It's okay but not what I was expecting. A cop's brother is murdered by a hoodlum who's in it with a new gang out to make a name for itself. The cop is a big-time undercover cop only he wants revenge and is willing to go deeper undercover than he ever has for his brother's killer. Luke Goss is a decent actor but not a great one. The story is okay, it has a feeling of realism. I do love the cast with Val Kilmer, Bobby Lashley, Vinnie Jones, and AnnaLynne McCord but they are in supporting roles only. Val has bulked up and not in a good way, Lashley can still kick butt, Vinnie still plays a tough guy like always and AnnaLynne McCord is as seductive as ever. A good way to spend time but not rewatchable.

This movie is RIDICULOUS. The main actor is HOT, but thatï¿ 1/2(TM)s about all I can say.

Low budget but slickly made direct-to-video action/drama about an on-the-edge cop investigating his brother's gang related murder. The only reason I watched this film is because it had Val Kilmer and he was sadly not in the film all that much, despite second billing. Kilmer plays a sleazy crime lord, but the main character is Luke Goss, playing the cop seeking justice for his brother's murder. I think one hilarious moment indicative of the film's low budget nature is when the filmmakers used stock helicopter footage of a palatial mansion on a coastline with it's own golf course, which then cuts to Kilmer sitting poolside in the backyard of a house that looked more like an about to be condemned beach house, let alone an opulent mansion. This film desperately wanted to be "Running Scared" or "Crank," but it's really just badly written, low-budget, direct-to-video dreck. Jason Hewitt does direct the film wish gusto and enthusiasm, but that's not enough to save this weak script. Besides Kilmer, 50 Cent and Vinnie Jones were somehow sucked into appearing in the film as well.

Again a different cover picture sleeve on the UK DVD. Not a good film ! Too crazy and 'strange'..but perhaps the crooks are like this in the USA ? But do we want to see it ? Some good actors in a waste of time movie.

I really like Luke Goss, I think he was brilliant in Hellboy two, so I am on an arduous quest to find more movies with him in it that are in someway interesting/fun/worthwhile, but after this dull, loud, macho excuse for a film my search goes on...

So bad, it crossed over in to territory that made me like it based on how bad it was, but still, that was not enough.

Wow, I'm really glad I watched this, I love Luke Goss in all his movies, but this one tops them all. How the hell did he fling that car at the end I will never know. Great performances all around, even Val Kilmer manages to pull it off. And the best thing is, we get to see Vinnie Jones killed... One hell of an action flick with Goss in a full dedicated character once again!

Would get a higher rating but the audio has serious issues, watching it on the Starz movie channel.
