- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsA bloody hell of a time! Ben OTool gives an outstanding performance in this psychological dark comedy. A great balance of psychological character study, insanely fun and creative violence and gore, and dry matter of fact humor. The pacing was perfect for the runtime, and even when the protagonist is stuck in one spot for a good amount of the time, the direction and editing allowed for an interesting character study, which all the more makes him more likable and has you rooting for him by the third act when the action goes off the rails.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis movie is action packed and bloody, intensely gory where severed body parts are used as weapons. If cannibalism makes you sick don't watch this! I can't find any sources claiming the lead actor Ben O'Toole is a direct relative of Robert Downey Jr, but I will admit that the resemblance is uncanny. Long story short, an über soldier (Rex) heroically stops a bank robbery but inadvertently gets a bystander killed. He is catapulted into tabloid celebrityhood, being both famous and infamous, and goes to Finland to run away from it. He ends up being shackled deep inside a dark basement. This movie has been called a fairytale because there is a damsel in distress and Rex is the brave knight who came to save her even if he doesn't know it yet, even if he doesn't want to. A very satisfying fairytale like ending nonetheless.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat acting. Clever writing. Plot keeps your attention and has a finale that leaves you very satisfied. Enjoyed this film.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe twists and turns of the Australian export Bloody Hell may be too disorienting for most, but Ben O'Toole's star turn as two separate versions of the same character should not be overlooked.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely Positively Irreconcilably. Amazing main actor and fellow actors, but story, editing, directing and sound all waver into this being such a BLAST to watch... Go in blind as i did almost, the trailer doesn't portray it as good as it is! And im not a huge comedy horror lover but this is just pure action editing horror madness popcorn fun! Ps you'll care too! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
