Bordertown
audience Reviews
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat movie and an interesting but sad story line
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA very amazing movie of true events with the best actors they could've chosen. A real tear dropper but not without a sense of relief at the end. I hate it when you watch a movie and it's so predictable but this movie had roller coasters. The plot line was amazing and very realistic.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFantastic! I was in suspense for the whole movie and really loved it. JL was in her glory.

- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsMy opinion. Boring. 👎👎👎
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsI wonder why this movie went straight to DVD in the United States. Many reviews on here criticize J. Lo and the oversimplification of the story, but this is indeed a movie worth watching; it's a story based on real events. Regardless of J. Lo's ego and the lack of detail, there was a story here and an unpopular one at that. I thought the movie was excellent and J. Lo has come a long way in her acting. It's clear she was passionate about the film and story probably because she is of latin descent and a woman. If these critics can't see that, maybe their egos are too big 🤷🏽♀️. Anyways worth watching and worth thinking about.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsGood story line, not so good screenplay. The stellar cast carries the weak presentation of the plot and the movie drags because of it. Forgettable.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThis is definitely a powerful and engrossing outing. Anybody unfamiliar with the all-too-real Juarez murders can skip the textbooks and learn a lot here. Well acted and beautifully shot.... but I was a bit annoyed by the overused burning-building-showdown.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsWhile this is not a great movie in terms of acting and such, this is a disturbing story. Is the emphasis on NAFTA overdone? I don't know, but the connection between unchecked capitalism and violence against women is pretty clear.
