Bridge of Spies

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, o elenco é mais ou menos, e quase ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, a história é mais ou menos, e o filme poderia ter cenas mais relevantes e boas.

A Classic Political Thriller. It's solidly made all around and is actually a hybrid of a first half courtroom drama and the second half is the Cold War thriller. The second half in general is just the stronger film storywise and does a good job with building up tension. This really does a good job covering all the beats of the Cold War. The nuclear war fears, espionage, the U2 planes, checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall, East vs West, it's all here and really immerses you in the second half especially in this world. A hallmark of all Spielberg flick. This very much is like Munich (2005). very serious, slow burn, serious acting, and not a lot in the ways of action. It's really about the political tension. That being said, it feels like the first half which is like an hour of courtroom drama. Could've been cut down to like 10-15 minutes and not much would've been lost. It feels like it takes too long to build up to the second half. But it's still good what is there. Also the first half probably could've used a stronger soundtrack too as there really isn't any to speak of than. Anyone who is a fan of the director, thrillers, or any actors int his will like this a lot.

A great film, even if Spielberg and Tom Hanks have both done better.

I kept trying to get my dad to watch this film, but he died from a stroke before he could. Mom watched it with me and she knew this was a film he would have loved. Subtlety and nuance permeated the film, making it a must watch for anyone interested in the early days of the Cold War.

Another triumph from Steven Spielberg and another outstanding performance from Tom Hanks. Also an excellent performance from Mark Rylance.

While certainly not the best Steven Spielberg movie, it is probably the most gripping. Great story with some great messages: "Bridge of Spies" lives up to the title and premise while staying true and respectful to its source material.

Watched that movie in school recently. It was unexpectedly awesome! I really enjoyed the story. Must watch!
