It's the kind of movie that you watch at 2 o'clock in the morning when you can't get to sleep. It has low budget grindhouse written all over it.

I wish this system went up to ten stars so I could give it a 6.5 this movie is better than a 6 but just not a 7. Guess I will just give it a 7 tho.

This was a solid movie. Would I classify it horror? No. But really good, nonetheless. Would watch again.

Watching this movie (and alone) was a decided waste of time...(Asking myself "is this seriously the best way you can spend New Year's Eve?" ) It drained my emotional resilience down to a miserably low level,... it was sleazy, degrading, bloodthirsty, gory, bleak, soulless, and actually....quite disgusting. I felt ashamed at the end of it. And, there was not a single moment of "feel good" within it.... not even a redeeming glimpse of sexual gratification in the action...though the cover shot on the thumbnail would suggest otherwise.... I Imagine the filmmakers would say "well, it was only ever going to be a slasher movie... and they would be right...

Awful I am a huge Eddy Murphy fan. This movie tried too hard to be funny and it just didn't work Don't bother. Really .don't bother.

Exceptionally well made with some memorable shots, devolves into an ok but uneven slasher by the end. A decidedly unhappy ending.

Endearing characters in a believably dangerous environment with a few genre tropes along the way make this a very solid film.

This was a solid horror movie. It definitely went in a totally different direction than I thought it was going.

A truck stop inhabited by sex workers (the "candy"). And a newcomer expelled from a Christian cult. What could go wrong in this unholy place where all protagonists are sinners? "Candy Land" deserves the crown for being the sleaziest slasher of 2022!

This movie was unexpected in an amzing way. A slasher that has a backstory , sad at times , gory and psychological at times. The acting is on point , the story is good and it dives really well into different sub-genres of horror in a really good way.
