I understand the idea of using more female characters, but come on how do you expect a fan to react when presenting a character that came from nowhere in a film that is not good at all and tell us she is not only the best but the most powerfull heroine in the universe... The film is boring and the characters have not even a pinch of charsima wich makes the film worse. However, it could be enjoyable for a saturday night. P.D. Don't tell me Nick Fury's scar was made by a cat...

I think this movie isn't appreciated enough. Yes some of the timing is off but good story, great action. My wife really loves it lol

The best part of the movie was the intro

I didn't think Brie Larson could pull this off, but she did a great job! Love her more now.

Hooooooooooo boy. This movie had some lazy writing. Revealing the backstory through a flashback induced by a machine looking for a specific memory, which just showed her entire backstory. Her whole personality is screaming and being angry, and then punching things and smirking. She doesn’t have a character arc in this entire movie. She begins the movie being rash, reckless, and emotional, and ends the movie being rash, reckless, and emotional but unlocking godhood from it. She doesn’t change or evolve as a character in the slightest. Thing is the movie where I realized the MCU was going downhill. This signaled the beginning of the “post-endgame” MCU. It also ruined Nick Fury’s backstory. Remember how he lost an eye from a betrayal from a close friend, as said in Winter Soldier? Nope, not anymore. Retcons, baby. Nope, he lost it in a post credit scene from a mascot cat alien. Always nice to ruin a character or their backstory for a cheap, unfunny joke at the end.

Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Amazing story, amazing visuals, terrific acting from Brie Larson and well, everybody, really. The action is thrilling and the bad guys get defeated in spectacular fashion. I mean really - what is not to like?

I've no idea why this movie has rated so poorly. I thought it was excellent. Script, characters, cast, music, everything works. Excellent standalone movie too which is rare with Marvel movies.

It wasn't terrible, but I didn't find the story that interesting or Captain Marvel that likeable. It was a fun movie to watch, but it definitely isn't the best superhero movie out there.
