VERY over-hyped. People praised this movie on tik tok so i decided to give it a watch but it ended up being mid and predictable. Wouldn’t really say it’s the worst movie ever but it just wasn’t the best of best.

Carry On was the absolute worst movie of the 2024-25 year and in the top 5 worst of all time. It is so unbelievable and just plain dumb! Nothing connects and has so many plot holes! The writers should be ashamed of themselves. Taron Egerton comes across as a total mumbling bumbling doofus who constantly stumbles all over himself, not to mention he is a very overrated actor and proved it once again in Carry On. The show was just plain bad. Definitely a waste of time. A true Rotten Tomato!

I really enjoyed this film. Jason Bateman always does wonderfully, not matter what the character! Worth watching for sure.

    Insanely predictable

If you’re in the mood for something cerebral or innovative, steer clear. But if you’ve got popcorn, a hazy popcorn-movie mood, and nothing better on your watchlist, “Carry On” might at least pass the time. Just don’t expect to remember much of it afterward.

So implausibly stupid and never gripping or thrilling. What a waste of time. How did Jason Bateman choose to do such a crap movie? Bewildering, for sure.

Christmas and terrorism often make a winning duo in movies, and Netflix wants its slice of the pie. So what better place than an airport to embody both? And it’s quite a success, despite some slow parts (stop making films so long with filler, just make a miniseries instead). Taron Egerton is obviously great as usual, and the tension is well maintained.

We have “Die Hard” at home. Every dad’s go-to recommendation for the 2024 Christmas season. Netflix’s PG-13 take on “Die Hard”, with a TSA skin, is the perfect casual watch for families spending the holidays at home. While clearly inspired by the adventures of John McClane, “Carry-On” offers enough unique elements to make it more than a knock-off—though it’s undeniably of lesser quality compared to the cinematic masterpiece that influenced it. Taron Egerton’s dramatic, biographical roles remain underrated, so perhaps action films are the key to reaching a broader audience. Jason Bateman plays a villain that feels tailor-made for his signature even-keeled, witty, yet slightly condescending style. Now, every TSA agent will probably think that they’re Ethan Kopek.
