Cats and Peachtopia

, 24% Audience Score- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsNever trust a movie that calls it self hilarious, that's never a good sign. This was alright at first, the art was cute and the story too, until the plot takes a nose dive into a crapshire world. Just because a show looks cute and fluffy doesn't mean everything is. Be warned this isn't a feel good funny movie at all, it's not going to be that happy family popcorn flick your looking for. It's filled with animal abuse, animal deaths, and more. All this is a become a badly slapped together attempt to drive home the theme of the story. I don't buy the ending. It's all about finding yourself? More like do stupid shite and be happy to be alive is more like it. That would've fit better or nothing is more important than family. Pifft. Feels like the screenwriter forgot were they were going with this. I wouldn't let anyone under ten watch this. Sticking a needle in your eye would be more fun then this sad excuse for a show. Granted I watched (and read) Wattership down and the last Unicorn as a kid, but this show is too all over the place and doesn't do anything it attempts with even a drop of tact.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI watched this movie on a whim thinking it was a light-hearted silly cat movie, similar to The Secret Life of Pets. I was pleasantly suprised of how wrong I was and how complex the plot became. It is very fast paced and unpredictable. Overall I enjoyed the movie and the animation was amazing but it is very misleading and I wouldn't recommend it to children under 13. There were dark themes shown such as abuse, alcoholism, totalitarianism, death and animal cruelty. I wouldn't compare it to Finding Nemo at all and I feel like a lot of people neglect the cultural differences and plot points in this film. Not everything needs to be explained or drawn out for you to understand and sometimes things are what they appear to be. Cape wasnt angry with Blanket about lying about his mother because he said it himself "I understand why, you did it to protect me". The film is mature and gives proper moments to grieve but keeps the characters true to themselves. Now to the bad. My two minor complaints is the English dub really is awful and the ending is not the best message to send to children because the life expantancy of outdoor cats is significantly shorter than indoor cats. My biggest complaint is the humans. The humans in this movie, even the first owner are not the best examples of proper pet ownership and leaving a window open is careless. She kicked out the stray cat her other cat bonded with and it hurt the cat so bad he ran away to find him. Then after she let a cat die in her care, shes off to work every day and leaves her kitten bored in the apartment all day with no stimulation, hence why it runs away. Granted the villain in the movie is terribly great but even she was neglectful at times. Even though some humans are cruel, the whole world isnt and I felt the movie deserved at least one solid human character. This must be a cultural difference but it seemed like everyone in this movie didn't really love cats the way some of us do..which was the whole point of why we clicked to watch it and probably why for the poor reviews. That was disappointing and that's its biggest problem, especially marketing to American families. The message of the movie is intricately beautiful yet melancholy; that home is not a place but where your heart is. This movie is not for the faint of heart but if you watch with an open mind I'm sure any person would appreciate it as I did.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWould watch it again and again!
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThis movie had a really good vibe at the start but the deeper I watched the move it was disturbing and lowkey very terrifying. One thing I can say about the movie is that these Asian guys might be the dumbest people to try and destroy animals for profit due to the fact of people that would sue them.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI am seriously concerned for the director of this movie.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsStarts off cute with a "Secret Life of Pets" vibe, with cats as the protagonists. Rapidly devolves into a senseless story with extremely unpleasant images of cruelty. Doesn't come close to a pleasant, entertaining experience and it will definitely upset children.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsa movie that is dedicated to being sweet and silly for the first 45 minutes, and uses the remaining runtime to be disgustingly cruel to the kitten main character and his cat father. we see cape get smashed, put in a bag, almost INCINERATED, and then have his dad and friend immediately taken from him within like 15 minutes of each other.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis was the biggest misuse of our time ever!!! Just do yourself a favor and pass on by. Got a girl doing the voice of the "son" and I just don't understand why mentally ill people are marking movies for kids?!?!? 0 stars hope yall wake tf up!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars10/10 recommend for anyone considering trying drugs. Best trip of my life and completely replenishes the feeling of acid without having to take any. I don't recommend letting anyone with suicidal thoughts watch this.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsY'all I thought this would be a cute movie...but This is morbid and needs to be taken off TV... I understand it shows real world problems, but this could push kids to harm animals. Just don't watch it.. it shows a kitten being smashed between to concrete walls, the thrown into a bag then put in a pit of fire.. what in the actual hell
