, 71% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSlow pacing but well worth the time
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsGood movie......dealing with PTSD and loneliness
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsthe depiction of trauma and healing is amazing. once again jennifer does a wonderful job at portraying a difficult character. the storyline of the movie, the depth of each character that you see and feel by only knowing so much of them, the different disabilities you see definitely makes the real world feel seen in that way too. a very creative story and it was not only wonderfully told, but wonderfully played by each character.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsMainly morose with most scenes of dead pan faces. The ending solidified my opinion of this long, drawn out boring movie.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsUna buena historia dramática acerca de trauma y superación. Simple y practica, deja un lindo mensaje pero lamentablemente por varios tramos me aburrio.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsHighly respectful, thoughtful, realistic, and touching movie set in NOLA with Jennifer Lawrence and some known faces, but names I haven't memorized - though after reading the Wikipedia entry, I was reminded that Brian Tyree Henry was actually nominated as best supporting actor for his Oscar-worthy performance. How to restart life after a near death experience in the military, which was actually an attempt to leave the home to which the protagonist was forced to return. Snoballs, Newman and some hole in the wall traditional burger joint were involved for local flavor. Not surprisingly, done by a female director, though not from Louisiana.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsIt isn’t the action-packed suspense-filled enigma, but it isn’t the tedious slow-paced melodrama either. Causeway somehow manages to fine-tune to the perfect nuances of a digestible, somwhat enjoyable drama.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsincredibly subdued, which helps avoid a lot of the melodrama these stories usually depict. despite that, the overall messages here are still quite surface-level.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsA well-acted human interest story. Not much drama. Worth watching if you like that kind of thing.
