Aqui temos Woody como protagonista que de um técnico na NBA foi caindo, caindo até ser condenado a cumprir um trabalho voluntário, sendo técnico de um time de basquete com síndrome de Down. O inicio com muita dificuldade de adaptação, mas aos poucos vai se entrosando, relacionando e tendo empatia. Além de se relacionar com a irmã de um dos seus atletas. O filme vai envolvendo e aprendendo a jogar e começar a vencer. O filme tem uma boa dose cômicas e também com a dose de drama. Um bom equilíbrio e que vai nos envolvendo. E ao final quando estão disputando a final, termina de uma forma que só o coração puro com down para fazer. Uma boa atuação dos jovens com down e para Woody e Olson que trazem uma boa química, meio sensual. Vale apena assistir? Sim vale. Nota: 7

Champions brings to mind The Mighty Ducks, but stands out with its unique characters and heartfelt performances—especially Kevin Iannucci as Johnny. Woody Harrelson is solid as the flawed coach, and the cast of actors with intellectual disabilities adds real authenticity. It’s a touching and funny film that balances classic sports comedy vibes with something fresh and genuine. A must watch!

Marcus é um assistente técnico de um time de basquete de uma liga secundária que, após ser demitido, envolve-se em um acidente de trânsito alcoolizado. No tribunal, ele recebe uma pena alternativa: ele deve treinar por 90 dias uma equipe de basquete de deficientes intelectuais. A convivência leva Marcus a melhorar como pessoa e levar o time para final do campeonato. Eu vi somente o trailer do filme espanhol original e aparentemente o personagem do Woody Harrelson é bem menos babaca do que o do original. Mas este é daqueles filmes good vibe que acaba valorizado pelo talento de Woody, que passa por uma transformação, melhorando como pessoa e mudando também a vida daquele time. Muitos podem reclamar de que novamente fizeram um filme usando atores com deficiência, colocando eles como o viés cômico. E a Madison Tevlin arrasa como Cosentino. Mas, sinceridade, é muito difícil não assistir a este filme e não ter um sorriso nos lábios. Pois eles conseguem mudar o foco do humor. Você ri não das deficiências, mas como nós, ditos normais, não estamos preparados. E no fim, não estamos rindo deles, mas de nós e depois com eles.

Very light, nice flow, jokes keep coming, nice for a chill night

The 95% shows the percentage of Americans who don't have any standard of taste, lol. I love Woody Harrelson, but this story has not only been done in other era's- it was done exactly just 5 years prior- and much better, that one. It's about as predictable as it can be and Woody pretty much phones it in for a performance that requires nothing more than that. The Farrelly brothers had some good movies, this feels like them still trying to create something when they are past the point of having the talent to. I've seen worse movies but I knew exactly every thing that was going to happen before it did- and it did. A movie better fit for the 90's then now.

The jokes keep coming, the story is one you invest in even tho the plot’s a bit predictable, but the main reason for the 5 stars is the actors who play the team. Just wow. This movie has broken through a barrier to showcase & platform actors with a differing mental capacity well able to perform, learn lines, improvise & it seems have a load of fun in a major movie. Bravo everyone involved.

With a cast that I liked before I saw it I knew it wouldn’t disappoint and it didn’t. Including great performances from the team, I thoroughly enjoyed this.

This movie was more than I expected it to be. It was a great movie with an incredible cast to boot. Anyone looking for a real world heartfelt movie I would give this a watch

Heartwarming and funny! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the characters. We found ourselves cheering them on!
