Watched it with my young daughter which probably made my viewing experience slightly better. Not a great movie but certainly not a terrible one.

Don't see why people dislike this movie so much. Even if it is a little cringe it still feels wholesome in the end.
  • Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Some obvious, predictable humour in a story that runs along the same tracks. It is cut from a similar cloth to the Father of the Bride. There are some good, wholesome comedy moments, mind, which does make it enjoyable

Cheaper by the Dozen, for its premise, boasts a winning family dynamic and positive performances from Steve Martin and the rest of its renowned cast members. This family film is a delightful choice for those seeking a lighter and more enjoyable family comedy. However, it may not be the best fit for those who find the film’s excessive silliness and toilet humor, which is tailored to a younger audience, to be overly simplistic and crude. Grading: B-

In my opinion, is is actually a decent film. Despite the low rating it is a decent film. Isn’t my favourite but not entirely bad.

I used to be obsessed with this movie when I was like 12 and I just watched it yesterday it’s good, you should watch it, but it’s not amazing like I used to think it was.

I'm much higher on this movie than the average movie goer, and I'm completely fine with that. I don't know if it's because I'm a dad, but there are moments of this movie that make me teary every time. Yes, I cry in Cheaper by the Dozen. The family dynamics can be over-the-top and silly, the acting can be a bit forced and the premise is full of plot holes, but that doesn't stop this movie from having a whole lot of charm. From the "WE LOVE THE COACH" scene, the search for Mark and many more, there are more than enough heartwarming moments. Couple that with the hilarity of soaking underwear in meat and you have a small piece of magic. At the end of the day, this movie isn't winning any Oscars but it is one that I would happily watch with my family any day of the week. Best Character: Hank the Model/Actor Best Quote: "I guess you could say that when Tom and I left Midland we had a mess of theories about how to raise children. We still have a mess of children, but no theories. Sure, 12 is still our number. It's the number of months my book was on the bestseller list. It's the number of job offers Tom turned down before we found one close to home. And each day it's the number of times I'm thankful there's such a thing as family." - Kate Best Scene: Finding Mark on the Train Best Piece of Score: "The Stadium" Best Song: "I'm Just a Kid" Note: The cast is packed full of early 2000's child stars.

This is one those movies that exists.....and why yet why am i not surprised that this was a remake of the 1950 version? Although Cheaper By The Dozen can have it's heartwarming moments i doesn't change the fact that it's a terrible movie with a cheap story, weak script, sub-par acting and including some of the worst comedy i've seen since Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights.
