Christmas Eve in Miller's Point

if youre in the mood to feel holiday christmas magic then this is it. Theres no real plot you just feel like youre part of and hanging out with this family for 2 hours. The asthetics were perfection, wished there was a better plot.

I can't recommend it, it was a waste of my time, nothing went anywhere and basically nothing happens..not a festive Christmas movie, not a comedy either ( not that is says it is) ..just pointless in my personal opinion

Christmas Eve in Miller's Point is a rambling, ramshackle film about a family reunion. It may test your patience, it might dleight you. I was sort of somewhere in between. It's 2006 and the Balsano family is reuniting for Christmas on Long Island. It's a large and extended family and we gradually get to know all of them over the course of the film. The matriarch of the family is likely to go into a home and therefore the house could be sold. The film is full of long conversations and banal events. I usually enjoy these types of films but it didn't quite work as the characters weren't just interesting enough and humour was only sparse. And when events go outside the home later in the film it loses any sort of momentum. An interesting film, but one that falls short.

A real stinker. Avoid Avoid Avoid. A nothing story.

I kept watching cause I thought something was going to happen to make this movie good, but it didn't. A complete waste of time.

Slow to start , unfunny , pointless , boring are words which sum this film up perfectly . Both my financee and I fell asleep after about 20 difficult to watch minutes .

messy, uneven, but rarely a false moment...mothers and daughters, sisters and brothers...high school friendship past and present...the joy and sadness of small towns...relaxing and tense at the same time...I LOVED IT...no christmas music...little brother intrigued me...the cop "confession" scene left me confused and flummoxed

I tried to persist to the end of the movie but sadly wasn’t invested in any of the characters or the lack of plot. Everything seemed surface based there was no depth. Watched desperately hoping and waiting to like a character or care what happened to them.

Ressalva para atuação de Mo’Nique, Union, Glover, Smoove. Roteiro e enredo já conhecido, passa ano, e ano e produzem o mesmo roteiro e enredo. O filme tem mais drama que comédia. Vale apena assistir? Sim nesse momento natalino. Nota: 6

So this movie is slow awkward and boring.. What's the point of this movie. The preview makes it look like a campy irreverent family holiday comedy, but once you actually watch after about 20 mins it becomes the most boring movie ever seen. Like 2 hours of hoping something good will happen or something really detrimental to the story but nothing does. This isn't even a artsy art house film. It's just BORING . Definitely never will be a Christmas classic. Watch something more entertaining like THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER! Now that's a good movie that is actually entertaining.
