Pésimapelícula, Si trató de ser auténtica en cuanto al papel de los reporteros se quedó a años luz de logralo.Plagada de acciones militares que en una verdadera guerra no tendrían sentido.

Absolutely no explanation of why the war starts and why certain states rebel, which I find the most outrageous since it is the main theme of the film. Not even at the end there is any explanation of what is going on. Cailee's character appears out of nowhere and her role consists of the typical teenager who makes a series of mistakes one after another that only harm the group, especially in the end. Secondary characters also appear out of nowhere, practically without explaining who they are. The trailer is very misleading.

Character development is weak, but there are good scenes and a well-structured script.

Civil War is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and impactful films I have ever seen. Its story, although focused on the point of view of those who report the news to the world - that is, the journalists -, touched me deeply, because, given the polarized world we live in, with controversial presidents in power and conflicts between nations, the plot of the film could become real overnight. I had also never stopped to think about how war photos were taken, and the fact that the film focused on the journalists was one of the highlights for me. I simply loved the interaction between them, and even more so the actors and their performances. Kirsten Dunst is magnificent (I have known her work since the original Spider-Man trilogy and it is gratifying to have followed her evolution as an actress until now). She manages to convey through her gaze all the rigidity of her character, acquired during the war records throughout her career. I didn't know Cailee Spaeny, and I was positively impressed by her: besides being stunningly beautiful, she gives an acting that makes our eyes stay glued to the screen. The relationship between her and Lee, played by Kirsten Dunst, was one of the highlights of the film! Civil War is one of the most beautiful and well-filmed films I've ever seen! I couldn't expect anything else from Alex Garland, who gave us Ex Machina, Annihilation and Men (which, unlike most, I really like), but in Civil War he takes it to the next level: the framing, the focus on the characters' reactions, the way the camera seems to wander through the scenes, transporting us into the film... His direction is impeccable!!! The same goes for the photography and the soundtrack. Every scene in the film could be a photograph. Returning to the cast, it's impossible not to highlight the talent of Wagner Moura (my pride and that of all Brazilians). Like Dunst and Spaeny, his acting is magnificent and magnetic, making it impossible to take your eyes off him. There are several striking scenes in the film, but the one that surprised me the most was the one with Jesse Plemons, who plays a soldier who made me hold my breath until the end of the scene. The image of Spaeny's character standing over several dead bodies was also extremely impactful. Stephen Henderson plays Sammy, an older journalist who, unlike the others, no longer has the energy and stamina to stay on the "front line" of recording the facts. He is the one who has the saddest scene in the film. The end of the film is breathtaking: once again, the story portrayed could happen at any time, in any country in the world. The photo of the soldiers surrounding the body of the dead president appears, little by little, on the screen, as if being developed by the photographer, and I believe it will remain etched in my memory forever. Civil War is a striking, beautiful film that should serve as a guide and warning to world leaders in our world. It is worth watching!

Just effing a bore. Nobody to care about. No one knows why the civil war is happening. Total BS.

Respect for the effort of director and photography but the story is simply not there, details are unrealistic: not clear who is against who (and why BTW); You get the president, you don't shoot him upon the decision of a handful of sildiers; helicopters at war do not fly on the ground, they'd be an easy target for anyone. I'd not recommend it.

Haunting, biblical and so close to reality coming.

This was a super pretentious, boring movie that didn't consider the audience once. The cinematography is good and that's it.
