Color Out of Space
audience Reviews
, 82% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThe main idea of the movie was interesting. However, the plot lacked depth and cohesion and sense. it is a pretty awkward and random movie
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsStarted off promising then midway lost the plot became boring, weird, long dull...had to force myself to finish it pay off was eh, visuals were decent. Would not recommend
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsI don't mind a slow burn but the first half was so boring. The dialogue / writing between the kids and husband and wife were generic. Nick Cage whom I love breaks out pretty good in the second half but he was too muted in the first half. Unlike some reviewers I'm not a fan of the effects. Better job was done in the original Michael Crichton the thing. The older kids acting never got better. The centerpiece set where the meteor hit was so poorly done they burmed up some debris around it and the meteorite was basically a ground level. The well looked like some Roto molded toy well from Playschool. The only way this movie could have been worse is if it was narrated by Steve Carroll.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsNo idea how this claptrap is so high. Underwhelming story, acting and scares. What a dud.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI rarely abandon movies midway but I couldn't go through this one, Nicolas cage actually carries the whole beginning of the movie. Then the hippie from That 70s Show is introduced, which can only take you out of the horror movie. And when the creatures appear, the CGI animation is not that great.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsanihilation, stranger things, sighns
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis one is definitely a watcher. When a meteorite crashes to the earth, weird stuff starts happening. Nicholas Cage plays the father, who's family starts being affected by the meteorites crashing. His mind and his family is turned upside down by this color of space or entity that has crashed. The visuals are pretty cool and the body horror is there too for the viewing. Tommy Chong makes a cameo appearance also. This movie was entertaining and will keep you engrossed to the end. You get to see Nicholas Cage become unhinged once again, like he does so well. Scfi- horror geeks should like this type of movie and that is why I am recommending this one.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsThought it was great & I'm a bit lost for words to describe it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsits probably one of the best horros ive seen in a long while it is definetly a must see
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsQuirky, full of great special effects, and occasionally disturbing due to some really intense and creative body horror. However, the script is a bit pedestrian and the overall tone is all over the place, resulting in a film that's highly entertaining but not particularly impactful. If you enjoy Lovecraftian cosmic horror, it's definitely worth a watch.
