I think that a lot of people were let down by the shallow sycophancy of societal ethics in extreme circumstances: I mean a lot of the reviews I read here kinda of sound that way. But, it really is a good movie. I think it deserves a watch, just dont expect it to change anything you already believe.

Despite me liking it. I don’t think I’ll ever rewatch it. I cried hard at this film because I relate to the characters so much because of their struggles. It’s Best Picture win was deserved back then but my god. I feel feel like it’s difficult to sit through this movie without crying once. 😭

We are all victims of circumstance. I was tricked into watching this mindless, stereotype-packed moral tale because it won the best picture Oscar in 2006. But unlike the heroes of this movie, I didn't shoot anyone. To release my anger and frustration I wrote this review.

    Nearly unwatchable.

This is still the most incredible movie I have seen up to date.. I watch it every few years and I'm just amazed at how the writer and all these people put this together.. We never know what We all are going through and you have to remember that when dealing with people which is the lesson I always try to remember.. I'm extremely jealous of how they put this together. I have ideas but I just don't have the skil to explain it so succinctly and make it happen like this.. This is a masterpiece. everything right down to the song just astonishes me every time I watch it.. This is a must-watch for everybody on the planet.. We are just people and I wish we all would learn we're living in what could be an Eden If we could just have a little understanding. Great job by the director of the writers the actors... Now I sit here again deep in thought with a longing.. I love movies like this

This is a gritty and amazingly written film about how all our live are inner connected. If you've seen the cast list, you already know its brilliantly acted. The first hour starts a slow simmer and by the 2nd hour, everthing the first hour set up is at a boil. Suspense, tension, & the willingness to fearlessly face with the answers of the questions in raises. Its a must see.

This movie is incredible and I rewatch it every 5-10 years. Matt Dillon, Shaun Toub, Thandie Newton, and Michael Peña are all just phenomenal in every way. Their acting is superb. This movie has a few moments that capture what it means to be human. Nobody is good and nobody is bad, we’re all a complex mix of both. This scene has one of the best scenes in movie history in my opinion, regarding a little girl with a cloak that gives her special powers.

Great cast. Nice soundtrack. A little too obvious making it's points. I still found myself enjoying it.

I lost it at the cloak. Cried like a baby. Never knew this movie existed. It’s 2024 and we all pretend like the plots and messages don’t exist today but they definitely do. I appreciate the honesty of the characters and there’s no guessing on what every character thinks/motives throughout the film. One message, you never know about other people struggles but you eventually find your way through your own, in knowing others. Truly inspiring and beautiful. I only clicked on it for Terrance too. Pure genius.
