A fun jaunt into a not-distant-enough future. Don't miss this one. It's memorable and affecting.

Not a great film but still interesting. The performances & effects are what make this one solid, whereas Cronenberg's writing & direction is lacking here when they should be the driving force for such a creative mind.

I tried to resist until the end but I can’t.

It's a beautiful film, although I wanted it to be longer and few of the questions answered.

While it may or may not, depending on your threshold for tattooed viscera, live up to the hype regarding its graphic nature, director David Cronenberg can never be accused of subtlety. Set at some point in the near future, Saul (Viggo Mortensen) and Caprice (Lea Seydoux) are performance artists, specializing in the removal of…well…the less said, the better. Crimes of the Future deals with a myriad of subjects and themes, including the likes of sexuality, body modification, evolution, technology, and art, among others. Cronenberg uses effective lighting, an eerie score, subdued performances, and a challenging story to hold the interest of the viewer. While some will find its pace a bit sluggish, it’s one of Cronenberg’s more accomplished works over a career than spans fifty years.

Profound and prophetic; perhaps the greatest dystopian pseudo-sexual body-horror film ever made.

Two negative things I will get out of the way first: one, this movie is quite confusing for people who just want to watch something they don't have to figure out, therefore it wouldn't appeal to the general population. Most people tend to watch movies to have fun, not to think deeply about it, and with this movie you have to really use your noggin to understand the plot and the meaning behind it. Two, the ending was incredibly lacklustre, it felt as though the movie was cut short. However, with that said, I really enjoyed this movie because of the brilliant concept and macabre scenes. Don't get me wrong, of course the scenes were disturbing, but it was so unique I just couldn't look away. The concept is something that (I don't think) has ever been done before.

very odd, would not consider a good movie, but very fun watch with your family for sure

Definitely not for everyone but a fun watch for the concept alone.
