Daddy Day Camp
audience Reviews
, 37% Audience Score- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsA sequel that follows a rather different story. You con't really need to watch the first movie.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsA good movie for kids but not enjoyable for older ages. To me, the characters are annoying and the acting is unconvincing.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis is such a weird sequel to Daddy Day Care because that was such a classic and was really well done. Daddy day camp definitely had less of a budget but it was still a VERY enjoyable family movie. It was just easy to watch and a bit of a laugh. I'd watch it again and I don't even like movies.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsWorst than the first one. The acting is bad, the grandfather colonel is out of place, Phil & Charlie give lazy performances with terrible slapstick and juvenile gross out gags. The kids lack any charm at all and no one has any chemistry. The villian is just as stupid as the first. The cinematography is bad as well. The camerawork is basic and uninspired, every other shot is filled with gross out humor or toilet jokes and the location is boring as well. The music isn't that good even for just being generic overall, it feels like its just the same as the first but it doesn't fit as "well" (use that term very loosely). The editing isn't good and the pacing is terrible. Things just happen and half this movie is montages. The kids half the time don't even have arks outside of the bed wetter, Ben I guess learning to climb and the stupid love story. Skip this completely even if you somehow "Liked" the first one.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars70/100 - old slapstick comedy. dont listen to the critics who rate it 1 star and say "the color tint is cheap" Like???? What are they on? its an old film made for kids. its a family comedy.... its an entire genre that lasted for over a decade.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsSome of the humor in this movie is very gross and over the top, sure. But I can say that this is a good movie for just kids to watch since they would find it entertaining. It would've been better with Eddie Murphy and Jeff Garlin (who probably weren't going to be paid enough with this movie's budget) and I actually liked Daddy Daycare much more. The other thing is that in the final act, this movie basically sends the message that cheating is okay to do in revenge (even though the grandfather says that you have to out-smart cheaters, but all they do is cheat in some of the competitions right back with their unique kids/characteristics)! Lazy writing.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSimply a Masterpiece.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThis movie is infested with low effort and cringey jokes and a bad new cast. The only good part about this movie that is worth mentioning is when Charlie and Buck have the conversation at the end, at least it delivered a much more clear message to the viewers than in Daddy Day Care and was surprisingly emotional.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis is a decent kids movie.
