A half-baked, grief-driven creature feature with an eerie premise, super creepy visuals, and a razor-thin script that frontloads most of its scares. 30 minutes into the film, I was thoroughly impressed and freaked out. Another 45 minutes later, I was pretty bored. The film just doesn't really move beyond the initial setup until it's almost over, probably because there really isn't much to the plot in the first place. This could have been an excellent short film, but as a full-length movie, it falls a bit flat.

I created a rotten tomato account just so i could give this movie 5-stars! I feel like horror movies are so often rated badly by the audience. But if you’re a horror movie fan this one is definitely creepy, cinematically beautiful, and pretty scary!!! Don’t let the 50% audience score dissuade you, this is actually a must-see horror.

A very formulaic grief-driven horror that sets up a nice character conflict and then resolves it off-camera. The monster is decently creepy, which makes it hard to believe that a 12-year-old boy would accept it as a substitute for his deceased father.

Keeps you interested along with being creepy. The glass house is really a great prop

Another "Monster in the Closet" movie in the same vein as "Babadook", "Come Play", Lights Out" "The Boogeyman", etc., with more questions than answers at the end. It's also a movie where a person doesn't do what a reasonable ordinary person would do in real life. SPOILER: The stepmom finds a strange scary structure made out of tree branches in the woods behind her house. Does she tell her fearless male friend about it? Of course not, that would make too much sense. My wife was like: "Why is she not telling him; she should be taking him there in the daylight and checking it out?" Because, dear, it's a stupid movie.

After the death of his father in a fatal accident, a young boy is visited by a mysterious creature mimicking his deceased father. Is this strange being the product of the boy's disturbed mind, or is he testifying an actual paranormal event? "Daddy's Head" tackles the horrors of grief and parenthood, drawing a blurred line between reality and insanity. The monster's features are particularly terrorising, playing a pivotal role in the movie's eerie atmosphere. The creature might be seen as a physical manifestation of the boy's suffering, a metaphor often used in psychological horror.
